OK, so I know this is going up a little late, but it's technically still the next day. This is the last of chapter two and I'll have something else up tomorrow. But you probably won't be seeing chapter 3 any time soon. (But I am working on it.)
Hope you have all enjoyed it.
You did a great job of messing with expectations in this series. It seemed like it was going to be light hearted meta pretending to not want it but really dying for it cap, then a guiltily having to practically beg for it cap, then a surprisingly ugly getting it now that you don't want it cap...and then it abruptly ends leaving you as shaken and frustrated as her. Awesome stuff from beginning to end.
ReplyDeleteJennifer,
ReplyDeleteI love the series. I have to admit I got a little confused when Jennifer went from playing the part, to not wanting it, but then I realized this isn't an every day cap. This is 'what would really happen'... and I can easily see 'wanting' to live out that fantasy, but when faced with it, wanting it all to stop. It hit pretty hard, and I think its really amazing writing.
And it was even the same in the design... it was going along like man other caps, but when it 'got real' the design showed Jennifer's mental anguish. Excellent job, and I can't wait to see the next chapter!
very nice series, love the way you took things, loved how you averted many tropes in caps while keeping it very interesting, masterful work.
ReplyDeleteTotally love it. When is the next one coming out?
